Lisa is in Germany and David will be going to Japan!

Lisa is now stationed in Vilseck, Germany and will be there for 1 year - no Afghanistan at least until then! Good thing there are web cams so we can at least see each other and not feel that we're a world away!

David will be going to Okinawa, Japan! That means one in Europe and one in Asia from our family! David's happy and I guess that's what's important. There are 3 of his other buddies that will be going with him. I guess the good thing about it is he'll probably have 30 days at home with us before he leaves! David graduates #2 in his Class! We're proud of you David! Congratulations!

Lisa Will Be Home May 30th - June 13!!!

I just found out Lisa will be home for 2 weeks before being stationed in Germany! Yeah! I can't wait to have my baby girl home! She has absolutely done a fabulous job in all her training and she is as buff as can be! Could it be that I'm a proud mom? Ofcourse!

I love all my kids and am so proud to be their mom! They are wonderful kids and have made my life so meaningful and so full of joy! Mothers' Day is a great celebration when we realize how important our roles are as Mothers!! I feel so blessed to have had the opportunities I've had to love and teach and be important in their lives, as they are so important in mine!!

This is one of the most beautiful testimonies of the Savior and his redeeming love for us! My heart is touched as I hope yours will be as you watch the scenes depicted as Elder Holland bears his testimony of that first Easter morn and the days leading up to it. We are so blessed to know and have the blessings of His Atonement in our lives! Happy Easter!

Without a Savior and Redeemer, how could I ever have the faith needed to have 2 children in the military facing all that the world will go through in the future!

Valentine's Day with David and Ricky in Oceanside, California!

David will be graduating from SOI (School of Infantry) at Camp Pendelton this Tuesday, Feb. 17th. Ricky and I drove down here on Saturday and were able to spend last night with David up until today at 2:30. It's been a great time and well worth the trip! David looks good! How lucky we all are to be family and have this time together!

Lisa is stationed at Goodfellow Air Force Base!

Lisa is continuing her training at Goodfellow Air Force Base in San Angelo, Texas. She will be stationed there until the end of May and then will probably be sent to Arizona to learn how to drive a HumV and then possibly to Airborn training after that! We are very proud of her accomplishments!

David Will be Graduating from Camp Pendelton!

David has been doing Infantry Training since January 20th and will be finishing up on February 17th, 2009. He will immediately fly to Fort Dam Neck, Virginia where he will be training as an Intel Specialist. He will be stationed there for about 5 months. Way to go David!! Congratulations! We will be driving down to spend a few days with him before he leaves!

Family Pictures before Lisa leaves!

We had so much fun at home tonight - just taking family pictures. At first we were just going to take pictures of David and Lisa in their military uniforms, but when we called them to get in front of the camera, Ricky and Rob had decided that they also needed to be recognized and so they dressed up, too! What crazy kids! What a hoot! John, Micah and mom just kept snapping pictures at them all. Then Joan kind of felt sad, so she got in on some of the fun, too!
